The incident took place at the Jalapuri police lodge in the city. Parasappa Konkur (27), who surrendered to the police, was on duty as a constable at Devaraja Station, Mysore.

Parasappa Konnor, a native of North Karnataka, was selected as a police constable in the 2016 batch. The wife of Parasappa Konnor, who was married only a year and a half ago, has committed suicide by hanging herself while going to a vacation. The exact cause of suicide is unknown. A case has been registered at the Nazar Baad police station.
